Fellows Burger is the best place where you could start here to know about the true essence of the burger. It is a Great gem hidden in the side streets of Harajuku. We arrived for lunch and joined the line in front of this extremely narrow building. The local Tokyo crowd simply looooves to queue, and by that time, after two weeks in Tokyo, we practically felt like locals and didn’t mind the hour-long wait.
After our place in line advanced into the actual building, things got interesting. The inside has a quirky decor and full of delightful and weird knickknacks.
We were given menus and a few more minutes later were asked to order. We went with the Avocado Cheese Burger and The BBQ Burger with a side of home fries, then waited some more. After a few minutes we were escorted up the stairs to a narrow room on the 3rd floor, which included no more than 10 tables. Small and cozy.
Fellows’ menu puts emphasis on its burgers – direct and to the point. The bun was puffy and soft, and did not become soggy at any point. The thick patties were juicy and along with the rest of the burger’s components served as a perfect bite.
The bill came down to an even ¥3700 / $31 / 124₪. Not too bad for a fun, satisfying, full lunch for two people. Fellows Burgers is one of the most recommended burger places in Tokyo and after visiting we can definitely see why.
